A content management system (CMS) as referenced here is defined as an application that allows you to create, edit, and publish web content. Content management systems generally include a "WYSIWYG" (what you see is what you get) editing facility, so users can manage web site content without any knowledge of web programming. You can often schedule in advance when specific content will begin or cease appearing on the web site. A template facility provides a standard look and feel for each page, and plug-in modules are usually available to provide additional features, such as e-commerce (online stores), web logs ("blogs"), bulletin boards, mailing-list management, event calendars, photo galleries, polls, and much more. This site is based on the Joomla! CMS and a custom-designed template. |
